19-year-old seriously wounded in Austin shooting

A 19-year-old man was shot multiple times Wednesday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 0-100 block of North Keeler Avenue at 12:50 p.m., according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the leg and back, and was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.

A police source said the victim is a documented gang member.
