Man shot in leg in Back of the Yards

A man was shot Monday afternoon in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 5200 block of South Racine at 1:35 p.m., police said.

The 25-year-old man was shot in the leg and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
