Man wounded in Humboldt Park drive-by shooting

A man was shot Wednesday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

At 10:15 p.m. the 24-year-old man was a front-seat passenger in a vehicle in the 3400 block of West Chicago Avenue when a red SUV pulled up alongside the vehicle and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.
