Motorcyclist killed in West Town crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a truck Wednesday morning in the West Town neighborhood.

The motorcycle and truck crashed in the 1800 block of West Chicago at 7:17 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

The motorcyclist, a 44-year-old man, was taken to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead, according to police.Patrick Conklin, of the 1100 block of North Lake Shore Drive, was pronounced at 7:54 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.No other injuries were reported, according to police and fire officials.

The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is handling the case.
