A 15-year-old boy was critically wounded in a shooting Thursday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

Someone walked up to him about 8:30 a.m. in the 900 block of North Latrobe and shot him repeatedly, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
