A man was injured in a Little Village neighborhood shooting Thursday afternoon on the Southwest Side.

The 23-year-old was standing outside at 2:55 p.m. in the 2700 block of West 24th Street when a vehicle drove up, someone exited and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the back and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the victim is a documented gang member.
