Police: Two found dead with stab wounds inside NW Side home

A man and woman were found dead with stab wounds inside a home in the Northwest Side Avondale neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

The two were discovered unresponsive in a home in the 2800 block of North Maplewood at 12:10 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said.

The man and woman, who appear to be between 45 and 55, both suffered multiple stab wounds, Sedevic said.

Police said the deaths appear to be domestic-related, but did not provide additional details.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the deaths.
