Crystal Lake South’s Emily Warren moved from center forward to right outside midfielder Thursday and the results were instant.

Searching for her first goal of the season, the sophomore scored twice in a win against Dundee-Crown.

On Saturday, Warren added two more goals for the Gators, who scored five in the first half en route to a 7-1 Fox Valley Conference crossover victory over host Crystal Lake Central.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 5900 block of South Ashland Avenue when they were shot at, police said. Five men were later taken into custody, two of whom were wounded. No officers were hurt.
