Two men were shot to death in the Uptown neighborhood early Wednesday on the North Side, according to Chicago Police.

The attack happened at 2:17 a.m. in the 5000 block of North Winthrop, police said.

A 32-year-old man was dead at the scene, and a 34-year-old died after being taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately confirm the deaths.

Both men, who had documented gang ties, suffered multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Officers received a report of shots fired in the 3900 block of West Flournoy Street about 1:10 a.m.
The girl was inside a residence in the 12600 block of South Lowe Avenue when she heard gunshots coming from the street.
The male was attacked in the 2100 block of West Randolph Street, police said.
Injuries were considered severe for five of the 28 injured. Video of the aftermath showed concertgoers struggling to lift the wreckage off other attendees.
