Police warn of Jefferson Park home burglaries

Chicago Police issued an alert Wednesday warning Northwest Side residents of several home burglaries in the Jefferson Park neighborhood over the last few weeks.

The burglars entered apartments and homes through doors or windows, and took electronics, jewelry, cash and other items, according to the community alert from Area North detectives. The burglaries all happened during daytime or evening hours.

The burglaries happened in the:

—5900 block of North Major between 5:30 a.m.-2:20 p.m. Sept. 1;

-5000 block of North Moody about 4 p.m. Sept. 9;

-5900 block of North Austin between 11 a.m.-noon Sept. 10; and

-5800 block of North Mason between 7:30-9:05 p.m. Sept. 13.
