Armand Assante heads here for film premiere

Veteran actor and Emmy Award winner Armand Assante will be in town Tuesday evening to walk the red carpet for the Chicago premiere of his film “In Between Engagements.” Also on hand for the event — at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport — will be the movie’s writer-director, Dominik Sedlar, best known for his documentary films.

The film was produced by Chicago-based Johnny Arreola, who also will be on hand for the Tuesday premiere.

Along with Assante, “In Between Engagements” stars Chicago actors Sorin Brouwers, Callie Stephens and Todd W. Edwards.

Filmed in Chicago, the romantic comedy is about a weekly party that not only unexpectedly turns into an engagement party, but becomes quite the wild night involving four separate couples.
