A 29-year-old man was shot to death Tuesday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood, police said.

He suffered a single gunshot wound to the head about 4 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene in the 7200 block of South Exchange, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately confirm the fatality.
