Man robbed, shot in Lawndale

Someone robbed a 28-year-old man and then shot him in the groin Tuesday afternoon in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, according to Chicago Police.

It happened about 4:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Keeler, police said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition. Police said the robbery and shooting might have been gang-related.

No one was in custody Tuesday evening.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
