The Bears will be prudent in handling Kyle Long’s latest injury — a sprained triceps suffered Thursday against the Packers.

“He had an opportunity over the weekend to have treatment, like a lot of our injured players,” coach John Fox said Monday at Halas Hall. “We’ll continue to have time. Our first, really, day back to full practice is Thursday.”

Long has been playing with an injured left shoulder and a cast on his left wrist, too.

“Kyle’s a tough kid, a great leader for our offensive line and a guy you want out there,” center Cody Whitehair said. “He’s a leader by example but Kyle’s tough kid and he’ll come back from the injury and won’t miss a beat.”

“He takes it upon himself to go out there in the seventh with 100-plus pitches and give us everything that he’s got, and that’s why everybody loves him,” catcher Yan Gomes said.
Piping plovers Imani and Searocket have produced four eggs in a protected area of the beach.
“We got a big hit and a little bit of exhale for sure,” manager Craig Counsell said. “It’s a game changer.”
While local events are energetic and entertaining, many participants also say they take time to reflect on Black history and teach younger generations about the realities of race in America.
