The Bears will be prudent in handling Kyle Long’s latest injury — a sprained triceps suffered Thursday against the Packers.

“He had an opportunity over the weekend to have treatment, like a lot of our injured players,” coach John Fox said Monday at Halas Hall. “We’ll continue to have time. Our first, really, day back to full practice is Thursday.”

Long has been playing with an injured left shoulder and a cast on his left wrist, too.

“Kyle’s a tough kid, a great leader for our offensive line and a guy you want out there,” center Cody Whitehair said. “He’s a leader by example but Kyle’s tough kid and he’ll come back from the injury and won’t miss a beat.”
