Man shot in Englewood

A man was shot early Saturday in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

About 2 a.m., the 30-year-old was walking on a sidewalk in the 6000 block of South Loomis when someone in an SUV fired shots striking him in the buttocks, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Monday, an 18-year-old man was in a car in the 5100 block of South Wolcott Avenue when he was shot in the face, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition.
