43-year-old man dies after falling off skateboard on West Side

A 43-year-old man died Saturday night after falling off a skateboard on the Near West Side.

Ryan Boser fell off a skateboard and struck his head on the curb in the 1600 block of West Jackson about 3 p.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Boser was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:11 p.m. Saturday, according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy Sunday ruled his death an accident.
