A man and a woman were shot late Wednesday in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood.

About 11 p.m., the 28-year-old man and 41-year-old woman were standing on the sidewalk in the 5100 block of South Hermitage when three males on bicycles rode by and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the right shoulder and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, police said. The woman suffered a gunshot wound to the left shoulder and was taken to Stroger Hospital. Both of their conditions were stabilized.
