A 22-year-old man was found stabbed to death early Friday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

Marshawn A. Cooper was found in the driver’s seat of a car in the 7200 block of South Aberdeen about 12:15 a.m. Friday, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Cooper, of the 3600 block of West 120th Street in Alsip, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy found he died of a stab wound to the chest and his death was ruled a homicide. Police initially said he had been shot.
