Man shot to death in West Garfield Park

A man was fatally shot early Sunday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Perry Burrell, 26, was found with a gunshot wound to the head about 2:45 a.m. in a vehicle that had crashed into a tree in the 4500 block of West Adams, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Burrell, of the 2300 block of North Avers, was pronounced dead at the scene 10 minutes later, according to the medical examiner’s office.
