Three Chicago Police officers were hurt in a traffic crash Tuesday night in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The crash happened about 8:15 p.m. in the 100 block of North Lavergne Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

Three officers were taken from the crash to an area hospital, Sweeney said. Their injuries were not life threatening, he said.

Further details on the circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately known.
