1 killed, 1 wounded in South Shore shooting

A man was killed and another man wounded in a South Shore neighborhood shooting Tuesday afternoon.

It happened about 3:20 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Phillips, according to Chicago Police.

Christopher Hibbler, 42, of the 8200 block of South Saginaw, was shot repeatedly in the chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:40 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

A 27-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the back, and was taken to Jackson Park Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
