A man was shot near Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park Wednesday night.

The 22-year-old man was standing with a group of people at 9:44 p.m. near the fountain in the 500 block of South Columbus when they got into an argument with several males who had exited a party bus, according to Chicago Police. One of the people from the bus then pulled out a handgun and fired at the man.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition, police said.
