Man shot in Belmont Gardens

A man was shot early Monday in the Belmont Gardens neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 22-year-old was standing on the sidewalk at 4:32 a.m. in the 4100 block of West Belmont when a male fired shots from a dark-colored vehicle nearby, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the leg and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.
