A man was shot during a robbery Thursday night in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

About 10:45 p.m., the 60-year-old man was on the sidewalk when three males, one armed, walked up to him in the 200 block of North Parkside Avenue, according to Chicago Police. The three males announced a robbery and took the victim’s cellphone and wallet. The man was shot in the right arm and the three males ran away.

He was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
