Three people were seriously injured in a crash Wednesday morning in the Dunning neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

A taxi and a black vehicle crashed shortly after 5 a.m. in the 4000 block of North New England, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

Two people were taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and a third person was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, police said. They were all listed in serious condition.

The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.

As of 6:13 a.m., the CTA’s No. 80 Irving Park buses were temporarily rerouted in the area, via Irving Park, Harlem, Addison, Oak Park and Irving Park.
