A man killed in a drive-by shooting in the South Side Englewood neighborhood Thursday afternoon has been identified as Byron C. Walker.

At 2:36 p.m., the 28-year-old Walker was walking outside in the 1100 block of West 57th Street when a vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire and shot him in the head, according to Chicago Police.

Walker, of the 5700 block of South Aberdeen, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
