A 16-year-old boy was shot Monday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

He was walking at 3:10 p.m. in the 300 block of North Laramie when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the buttocks, according to Chicago Police.

The teenager was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The 59-year-old was found about 7 p.m. in the 6700 block of South Chappel Avenue with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, police said.
Jonathan Vallejo, 38, of River Grove, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the Friday shooting and was pronounced dead at Lutheran General Hospital, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
