A 24-year-old man was shot Friday night in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

The man was walking in an alley at 8:56 p.m. in the 8300 block of South Winchester when a vehicle drove up to him and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to one of his legs and was taken to a Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
