Man shot in back in West Garfield Park

A man was shot early Sunday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened about 5:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of West Adams, according to Chicago Police.

The 40-year-old man was shot in the lower back and taken to Loretto Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
