A man who was shot Monday night in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side has died.

Eric Bones, 34,who lived in the neighborhood, was walking on the sidewalk when a male walked up to him and demanded his money at gunpoint about 9 p.m. in the 5300 block of South Honore Street, according to Chicago Police and theCook County medical examiner’s office.

The male then fired shots, striking him in the abdomen and right shoulder. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

He was pronounced deadat 1:34 a.m. Tuesday atthe Cook County Health and Hospital System, according to the medical examiner’s office which confirmed his death Wednesday morning.

Area Central detectives were investigating.

The man, 18, was walking in the 4700 block of South Ashland Avenue about 9 p.m. Thursday when someone in a passing vehicle shot him, police said.
Tino Roane, 37, was shot about 12:40 a.m. Thursday during an argument in the 38100 block of North Loyola Avenue, the Lake County sheriff’s office said.
