Man, 28, shot to death in Gary

A 28-year-old man died Friday night after being found shot in Gary, Indiana.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office was called about 9 p.m. to the 1200 block of West 16th Street to investigate a death, according to a statement from the office.

Russell Chase, of Gary, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead, the coroner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

Gary police have not provided additional details.
