A 38-year-old man was shot Saturday morning in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

At 6:56 a.m, the man was in the 5900 block of South Calumet when someone fired at him from a vehicle, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the foot and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating the shooting.
