A woman died Friday afternoon after being shot in south suburban Dolton.

Alexis Burks, 21, of South Holland, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the 14600 block of Woodlawn Avenue and was pronounced dead at 12:59 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Dolton police didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
