The NFL badly wants to expand their reach into the United Kingdom. The Bears, it seems, are already winning over some high profile fans in the UK. WWE Superstar King Barrett told ESPN that he is a huge Bears fan.

The English-born Stuart Bennett made his WWE debut in 2010 and has grown to one of the bigger stars on the roster. Tuesday, Bennett appeared live on SportsCenter with Jonathan Coachman. The two talked soccer, bare-knuckle boxing and the NFL. That’s when Bennett revealed his Bears allegiance.

Bennett is clearly a true Bears fans, as he referenced just how much he enjoyed seeing the Bears win despite their struggles of late.

The wrestler jokes that he could have been a strong tight end had he grown up in the United States, comparing himself to Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. While it’s no surprise to see a wrestler with a big personality, don’t expect to see Bennett lining up for the Bears. Especially after the emergence of Zach Miller as the Bears second tight end, with Michael Bennett as the number one.

Bennett isn’t the first WWE star to cheer on the Bears. Former WWE superstar turned UFC fighter CM Punk is an enormous Bears fan among other Chicago sports teams.
