When the Bears cut linebacker Sam Acho it came as a slight surprise. However, after a Week 1 injury, Acho is back in Chicago.

Cornelius Washington left the Bears game Sunday against the Packers with a calf injury. During his press conference Monday, head coach John Fox gave no update on Washington’s condition. Now on the injured reserve list, his season is over.

Acho was initially cut by the Bears due to a non-football illness.

The linebacker is still not fully recovered from his undisclosed illness and not yet ready to return to the field.

When healthy, Acho was a regular contributor to the Arizona Cardinals on both defense and special teams over the last four years. With the Bears rotation of linebackers, Acho will have an opportunity to play a big role with the team.
