Three observations from Seattle where the Bears lost 26-0 against the Seahawks on Sunday at CenturyLink Field.

1. An upbeat Sutton

Bears defensive lineman Will Sutton’s left arm was in a sling after suffering a biceps injury and leaving late in the first half of the Seahawks’ 26-0 victory.

Sutton, who started at nose tackle, was hurt when his arm was awkwardly bent while he tried to tackle running back Fred Jackson. He was able to bend his arm after the game in the locker room, and he seemed upbeat.

“I can’t talk about my injury, but I’ll be all right,” Sutton said.

Was he scared at first?

“Heck yeah,” Sutton said. “It hurt pretty bad.”

2. Mystery mode

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch’s only mentionable contribution was some pregame intrigue.

Lynch was active despite after being deemed questionable with a calf injury on Friday. But Lynch didn’t join Seattle on its sideline until minutes into the first quarter. He skipped the Seahawks’ entire pregame routine.

Bears players weren’t unaware of Lynch’s late-arriving situation. But they were happy to stop him.

It included outside linebacker Pernell McPhee and cornerback Alan Ball stopping Lynch for a one-yard loss on third-and-1 in the first quarter.

Lynch had five carries for 14 yards and one catch for nine yards before leaving with a hamstring injury.

“He’s a great running back, and I hope he gets healthy,” a smiling McPhee said. “And I’m kind of glad, you know, that’s a beast.”

3. Punting away

Bears punter Pat O’Donnell had a very busy day, punting 10 times for 477 yards. It included a 72-yarder.

It was a career-high for O’Donnell, but still four off from the Bears’ all-time individual high of 14, which Keith Molesworth set in 1933.
