Chris Christie booked to headline Rauner fundraiser in Chicago

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will be in Chicago next week to stump for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner.

Christie is booked to headline a fund-raiser July 25 at the Chicago Hilton where tickets run from $500 to $2,500.

The visit comes in the midst of a heated gubernatorial election — one that is being watched nationwide, with millions of dollars poured in from Republican and Democratic national organizations.

Nabbing a national figure like Christie helps Rauner combat the likes of President Obama, who has committed to boosting Quinn’s candidacy.
