Thousands cheered on Jackie Robinson West during their downtown rally on Wednesday, and a handful of politicians were on hand as well.

Not only did Mayor Rahm Emanuel compare his liken the team’s U.S. title to his own experience as a ballet dancer, but there were plenty of speeches to go around.
