Shots were fired at police Friday in south suburban Calumet Park.

Authorities responded about 7:30 p.m. to the area of 127th and Wood streets after someone opened fire at Calumet Park officers, according to the Blue Island Police Department, which assisted in the investigation.

No officers were injured, police said.

Calumet Park police did not immediately respond to a request for details.
