Chicago Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing from the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side for over a week.

Janelle Dawson was last seen in the 1300 block of East 72nd Street on Nov. 13, according to a missing person alert from Area Central detectives.

She is described as a 5-foot-4, 160-pound black girl with brown hair, brown eyes and medium complexion. She was last seen wearing a gray sweater and sweatpants, and she may be carrying a backpack.

Police said Janelle may be near the area of 74th and Evans.
