Obama guidance, schedule, Oct. 7, 2014: NYC for Dem fundraisers

President Barack Obama on Tuesday travels to New York City to headline fundraisers for the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Saving the Democratic Sentate majority is a White House political priority. Meanwhile, in Chicago today, first lady Michelle Obama is the draw in a big get-out-the vote rally at 3 p.m. at the UIC pavillion to benefit Gov. Pat Quinn, with Sen. Dick Durbin and the other Democrats on the ticket benefiting from Mrs. Obama’s turnout push.

Illinois Democrats are organizing folks to use the various ways to vote: vote-by-mail, early voting and absentee voting, as well as showing up on election day and casting a ballot.

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2014

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will travel to New York, New York. The departure from the South Lawn is open press, and the arrival at the John F. Kennedy International Airport is open to pre-credentialed media.

While in New York, the President will attend two events, a DNC roundtable followed by another DNC event. The roundtable is closed press, and there will be print pool coverage of the President’s remarks at the DNC event.

Afterward, the President will travel to Greenwich, Connecticut to deliver remarks and take questions at a DSCC event. There will be travel pool coverage of the President’s arrival and print pool coverage of President’s remarks.

Following these events, the President will depart New York City en route Washington, DC. The departure from John F. Kennedy International Airport is open to pre-credentialed media, and the arrival on the South Lawn is open press.
