Sarah Palin stands by her terrorist baptism statement

Sarah Palin isn’t backing down from her comments over the weekend at the National Rifle Associaion’s annual convention, where she had the following to say about suspected terrorists:

“Well, if I were in charge,” Palin said, with a long pause, “They would know that waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists.”

It’s a comment that stirred up a bit of controversy, but Palin told NBC News she has no regrets.

Would I make it again? Why wouldn’t I, yeah, absolutely. Terrorists who want to annihilate Americans, innocent Americans, our children — whatever it takes to stop them. If I were in charge, I’d be stoppin’ em, she said.

And Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) didn’t hesitate to seize the moment and remind everyone of one thing:
