Republican gubernatorial candidateBruce Rauner will be in Springfield on Friday to talk to the American Legion as his campaign launches an early-July attack ad against Gov. Pat Quinn.

Rauner speaks before the American Legion at 10 a.m. in Springfield.

On Friday, his campaign released a new TV ad that’s clearly preparing for its own attacks from the Quinn campaign.

“When you hear Pat Quinn’s false attacks, remember his broken promises,” it begins.
