Barbara Bush says George H.W. was 'best president ever'

There’s no question where Barbara Bush’s loyalties lie. But you’d think the “best president ever” would have been elected to a second term.

During an interview Wednesday on NBC’s “Today Show,” the former first lady let George W. Bush know where he ranks compared to his father, George H.W.

When asked by granddaughter Jenna Bush Hager if she’s proud of her husband, Barbara laid it all out there.

“Always. He certainly was the best president ever,” she said.

Jenna then said her father may be offended, and that’s when Barbara motioned for George W. to come on over, and Jenna told him about the revelation.

“I agree with that,” George W. said. “But I think you’re the second best first lady.”
