Ad battle intensifies in Illinois governor's race

Bruce Rauner’s campaign released another TV ad today blasting Gov. Pat Quinn on everything from a tax hike to headlines hitting his administration over a criminal probe.

“It’s the same dishonesty we’ve grown accustomed to seeing from Bruce Rauner,” Quinn campaign spokeswoman Brooke Anderson said of the new Rauner ad.

The ad will be added into the rotation of a spot already up that’s hitting Quinn over “broken promises.”

Quinn’s campaign has its own ad up that characterizes his Republican opponent as among the privileged — and out of touch with the average Illinois voter.
