WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama travels from Denver to Dallas and Austin on Wednesday, headlining fundraisers for Democrats and for a “Texas showdown,” a meeting in the afternoon with Texas Gov. Rick Perry over the growing crisis at the border. In Dallas, Obama will also meet with local elected officials and faith leaders to discuss the waves of children, most from Central America, crossing into the U.S. from Mexico.

In the morning, the President will deliver remarks on the economy at Cheesman Park. This event is open to pre-credentialed media.

In the afternoon, the President will attend a DSCC event at Westin Denver Downtown. There will be print pool coverage for remarks only.

In the afternoon, the President will depart Denver en route Dallas, Texas. The President’s departure from Denver International Airport and arrival at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport are open to pre-credentialed media.

Later in the afternoon, the President will meet with local elected officials and faith leaders to discuss the urgent humanitarian situation at the Southwest border. There will be a stills only pool spray of this meeting at DalFort Fueling.

In the evening, the President will attend a DCCC event at a private residence. There will be print pool coverage for remarks only.

Afterward, the President will depart Dallas en route Austin, Texas. The President’s departure from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and arrival at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport are open to pre-credentialed media.

At night, the President will attend a DNC event at a private residence. There will be print pool coverage for remarks only.

The President will remain overnight in Austin.
