DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

FRIDAY, JANUARY 9, 2015

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee. The departure from the South Lawn and arrival at McGhee Tyson Airport are open press. While in Knoxville, the President will deliver remarks and discuss new initiatives he will propose to help more Americans go to college and get the skills they need to succeed; the Vice President and Dr. Biden will also deliver remarks. The President’s remarks at Pellissippi State Community College are pooled for television and open to pre-credentialed still photographers and correspondents.

In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will visit Techmer PM in Clinton, Tennessee to highlight the Administration’s efforts to create new, good paying manufacturing jobs. There will be travel pool coverage of the visit.

Afterward, the President will depart Tennessee en route Washington, DC.  The departure from McGhee Tyson Airport and arrival on the South Lawn are open press.
