Two men were fatally shot Tuesday morning in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
They were sitting on a porch in the 1800 block of West 58th Street about 10:45 a.m. when a dark Chevrolet drove by and a passenger fired shots, according to Chicago Police.
Raymond D. Griffin, 30, was shot in the neck and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died at 6:30 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived on the same block where the shooting happened.
Tidarrius Smith, 31, who also lived on the same block, was shot in the back and taken to Stroger, where he died at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. Police initially said he was in good condition.
Area South detectives are handling the homicide investigation.
