16-year-old boy shot to death in South Shore

A teenage boy was fatally shot Tuesday evening in the South Shore neighborhood.

Camerion Blair, 16, was on the sidewalk in the 2600 block of East 73rd Street about 6:10 p.m. when he was shot in the back and buttocks, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Police said the boy was 17.

Blair, who lived in the 7300 block of South Shore Drive, was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:25 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

A police source said the boy is a documented gang member.
