Man charged with sexually assaulting teen in forest preserve

(MAYWOOD) A Chicago man has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl in a west suburban forest preserve last week.

The girl was walking alone westbound on Madison Street near Maywood and Forest Park about 11:45 p.m. Oct. 3, , according to a statement from the Cook County sheriff’s office.

That’s when 30-year-old Kevin Tillman forced her into a nearby forest preserve area and sexually assaulted her, police said.

Tillman had followed the girl from the Forest Park train station as she was returning home from a school event, according to the statement.

Tillman, of the 4900 block of West Adams, is charged with sexual assault and unlawful restraint, the sheriff’s office said. He is expected in bond court Friday.
